America, I Have Arrived!

I'm finally here! After months of planing and worrying, 9 hour bus rides down to London, and (too) many exams, I've made it to the US in one piece.

I arrived into Newark last night and spent the night in New Jersey with a family friend. This is the view I woke up to (at 5 in the morning, my body clock is fucked!)...HELLO NEW YORK!

For breakfast I had some amazing pancakes with strawberries, and then I went to get my first mani-pedi. WHY ARE THESE NOT MORE POPULAR/CHEAPER IN THE UK?
It was incredible, and so relaxing! I'm going to have to find somewhere that does them in Valencia.
We then took a stroll down to Carlo's Bake Shop, which is the bakery that 'The Cake Boss' is all about! If you haven't seen it, it's on TLC (my new favourite channel). We didn't go in because there was already a massive queue outside, but I did get my picture taken outside it.

I'm currently on the train after successfully buying my ticket from a woman named Joy, who ironically was not very joyful!
I can't wait to get onto the island and meet all of my work colleagues and housemates!

I'll keep you posted!

The Cup Song

There seems to be a youtube trend at the moment called 'The Cup Song' stemming from the movie 'Pitch Perfect'. I haven't seen the movie yet, as I'm so so so so bad at going to the cinema! (I still haven't Avatar, I'm that bad!) But I saw a clip of the movie on youtube where a girl is singing a song and doing really cool rhythms with a plastic cup. I then realised that loads of people were doing this, and that you can literally sing any song over this same rhythm!

So...I gave it a go!

Hope you enjoy, and feel free to browse through my other videos on my youtube channel.

Thanks,

xx

USA here I come!

So today I purchased my flight tickets to America!

In 59 days I'll be jet-setting off to New York, and then on to start my job for the summer.
My contract finishes on the 3rd September and my flight home isn't until the 16th. Any suggestions for what I can do in Boston and New York? And also in the surrounding areas!

I just thought I'd let you know as this is the first big step in my travels this year!
